Development Objects for WebFlow in the Product Designer

Displaying the Workflow Template

The workflow tasks that have been defined for the product designer as example scenarios are assigned to application component PLM-PPM-PDN (Product Data Management) and are collected in task group 12300001 (plm_pdn_wui).

To see an overview of all the tasks, use one of the following display options:

In the SAP Menu, choose Tools ® ABAP Workbench ® Overview ® Object Navigator.

Enter package PLM_PDN_WUI (Web User Interface for the Product Designer).

Choose Business Engineering ® Workflow Template. You can double-click on a workflow template to display the detail data.

In the SAP Menu, choose Tools ® Business Workflow ® Development ® Definition Tools ® Tasks/Task Groups ® Display.

Select Task type Task Group and enter 12300001.

On the tab pages, the standard tasks and workflow templates for task group 12300001 are displayed.

Note

Instead of using the task group to search, you can also select the task type Workflow template and enter search string PD*.

Editing Processes

The following iPPE objects are processed in the generated workflow tasks:

Structure nodes in the product structure (S_ST)

Generic engineering nodes (copies of node type S_GEN)
Component variant (S_CMPST)

The following overview shows the editing processes that are controlled using the workflow tasks.

Description	Processing Steps
Reconciliation for iPPE object (structure node, engineering node, or component variant)	Notification to check the structure node (mail) and the assigned documents. The owner can add an additional note. Processing of the work item in the workflow inbox (decision whether to approve or reject). On rejection or on approval by all participants, a mail is sent with a link to the current structure node.
Check that iPPE object is complete and correct (structure node, engineering node, or component variant)	Sending of a link with the iPPE object. You can approve or reject.
