This function allows you to distribute consumption differences from a physical inventory to orders, or to subsequently debit the material or the finished product. We recommend that you carry out the distribution of consumption differences at least once a month before you close the period.

If you have activated the material ledger and actual costing, you check and review the inventory values and postings using the material price analysis. You can see the movement types for the postings under Other receipts and consumption in the material price analysis. You can see the movement types for the consumption lines under original document

You have created the movement types required for the distribution in Customizing under Materials Management ® .Inventory Management and Physical Inventory ® Movement Types ® Copy/Change Movement Types.

You have created follow on movement types for all physical inventory movement types

For the movement types Z11, Z12, Z61, Z62

• Set the movement type 999 as the reference movement type for the Warehouse Management System.
• Set the reverse movement type indicator under Movement Type ® Details

You have run the physical inventory for the material and set the indicator distribute differences for the distribution of consumption differences.

4. To edit the distribution choose Details The individual items are displayed. You can change the quantity, distribution indicator and receiver object for each item. After you have made your changes, choose Save in the item overview.
5. Choose Enter.
6. To display the results, choose Details.
