Results List

Use

The results list contains all entries in the terminology database which fit the search criteria. The title bar displays the number of matches.

You can perform the following actions from the list:

Display the complete terminology concept information by selecting the entry and choosing Display term concept.

Display existing glossary entries and comment/source texts by choosing the relevant symbols in the results list. You can display the glossary entries in either SAPscript or HTML formats; the comment/source texts appear in SAPscript format.

Edit a term by selecting the entry and choosing Maintain entry.

Edit a glossary entry by selecting the entry and choosing Maintain glossary entry.

Determine which objects have a link to a glossary entry by selecting the entry and choosing Where-used list.

Note

It is important to call up the where-used list if you are carrying out standardization or cleanup actions to rid the database of duplicate entries. You must inform colleagues who have created links to entries pending deletion so that they may reset the links to the correct entry.

Display entry class and term status by choosing Display status.

Change the status of a term by choosing Edit ® Maintain status.

Note

This function is available to SAPterm superusers only.

Display definitions of all the icons in the results list by choosing Legend.

Functions

You can further define the display of terms in the results list by using the functions in the status line, the menu or the right-hand mouse key. The following functions are available:

Display monolingual/bilingual results list
Display status of terms as icon/text
Sort entries (cursor must be positioned on the appropriate column)
Display translated/non-translated entries only (if you a displaying a bilingual list)
Display status 3 terms only
Display status 1 and 2 terms only

The following, additional functions are available to SAPterm superusers, after choosing Maintain status:

Set all terms to status 3 by choosing Edit ® Release all entries.
Set all status 3 terms to status 2 by choosing Edit ® Revoke release for all entries.
