Definition

You use this infotype to record the data that is from the previous employer. This data was confirmed in the payslip L 16.

Entering this data is not useful if the employee has entered your company during a calendar year (that is he or she did not start on 01/01). In this case, the data from a previous employer affects the processing of special payments as regards deductions.

Use

The system uses the data saved in Previous Employer A infotype (0055) for the current calendar year. The data from the previous employer are read during payroll for the employee. It is used to calculate employment taxes. The values are directly used to determine tax for regular and special payments and to determine the social insurance contributions.

Structure

For each period confirmed by the previous employer, you must create a record for this infotype and enter the appropriate validity period.

Here you record the confirmed amounts on the payslip form. The system supplies the wage types for which you can record the amounts. They include the following amounts:

Integration

When you create a new record for Previous Employer A infotype (0055), the system provides you with wage types from the view Permitted Wage Types (V_T512Z) that you have determined in Customizing. You can neither delete these wage types nor add new wage types. If you have already specified a time period in the Maintain Master Data screen, the view V_T512Z is read with the start date of the infotype record. If you have not specified a date, the table is read with the system‘s date.

The characteristics of the default wage types are stored in the view Wage Type Characteristics (V_T511) under the country grouping 03.
