Partner-Object Relationship
You can set up partner-object relationships for the following objects:
· Loans
The system displays all of the
relevant data for the partners assigned to a loan in the partner overview on
the Partner tab page. You can branch directly to the
SAP Business
Partner and change the data if necessary. You can also make additional
partner assignments or create additional partners for the loan from
here.
· Collateral objects
In a collateral object, on the Partner tab page, you can assign one or more partners to the object in various roles (such as owner or notary) or create new partners.
· Collateral
In a collateral (non-real estate) object you can use the Partner button to assign one or more partners to the collateral in various roles (such as beneficiary or insured party) or to create new partners.
You make the settings needed for the business partner in Customizing under Basic Settings ® SAP Business Partner.
For more information, refer to the documentation for Converting the Business Partner.
· Loans
On the screen for creating or changing an application, contract offer or contract, choose the Partner tab. The following partners are displayed in the Partner List:
- Main borrower
The current main partner (or issuer) is displayed here. Only one main loan partner (or issuer) can be assigned to a loan during a certain validity period. If you want to create a main loan partner (or issuer) for a loan with a different validity period, you can do so using the borrower change function or by means of a capital transfer

You create a main loan partner directly when you create an application / contract offer / contract. You also have the option of creating it in advance under SAP Business Partner and then assigning it to the loan.

You need to make the necessary settings in the
Customizing activity for the SAP Business Partner in order to create a
customer
for the role of main loan partner. In the IMG activity Company
Code-Dependant Settings for Product Type, in the FI Posting field
you have to define the setting 3: FI Posting with Cust. Account. In the
activity Define Default Values per Product Type you enter default
settings for the customer account per product type and in the activity
Define Default Values to Automatically Create Customer you define the
settings per company code and product type.
These settings are needed by other roles for the creation of a customer
account.
- All other partners assigned to the loan.
If you want to assign additional partners or create other partners for the loan, you can only do so at this point by choosing Insert Line.
· Collateral objects
On the screen for creating or changing an application, contract offer or contract, choose the Objects tab. Go to Create/Change Object. The Create/ Change Collateral Object screen appears. Choose the Partner tab page. In the Partner List you can assign one or more partners to the collateral object in various roles or create new partners for the object.

In the loan master data, under Objects ® Object Processing ® Create/Change you also have the option of assigning one or more partners to the collateral object in various roles or of creating new partners for the object.
· Collateral
On the screen for creating or changing an application, contract offer or contract, choose the Collateral tab. Choosing Create/Select Collateral takes you to the corresponding collateral. Choose Partner. In the Partner List you can assign one or more partners to the collateral in various roles or create new partners for the collateral.

In the loan master data, under Collateral ® Create/Change you also have the option of assigning one or more partners to the collateral in various roles or of creating new partners for the collateral.

1. Partner List
In addition to the partner's name and standard address, the partner list displays the address type relevant for correspondence, such as business address. You define the default value for the address type in Customizing. The correspondence is sent to the address that has been assigned to this address type. You can select a different address type using the address type button, which displays all of the address types that have been assigned to the partner. You assign the partner's addresses to address types using the Address Overview function in SAP business partner maintenance (section Address Usage).

In Customizing, under Assign Grouping and Address Type per Assgmnt Cat, Application Cat. and Role you assign a grouping and an address type for each role. These then appear in the partner list as default values. This address type only appears as a default value if you also assign it to the partner in the SAP Business Partner, using the Address Overview function in Address Usage. If this address type has not been assigned to the partner in the SAP Business Partner, the address type in the partner list has the default setting XXDEFAULT.
The assignment of the partner to the loan/collateral object/collateral in a certain role is time-dependent. In the field Start of Relationship you enter the date from which the partner is assigned to the loan/object/collateral in a certain role. In the field End of Relationship you enter the date up until which the partner is assigned to the loan/object/collateral in a certain role.
By choosing History you display all the other partners that have been assigned to the loan/ object/collateral previously or are assigned for the future in the Partner List. If you choose Date, the display reverts to the partners that are valid for the date you enter.
The partner list also contains the business partner key and the role category (field ObjectPart). These appear as information fields that cannot be changed.
a. Select a partner from the Partner List. You can also choose Display or Change to branch straight to the SAP Business Partner where you can display or change data belonging to the partner.

If you have changed data in the SAP Business
Partner, choose Copy. The changes are now included in the loan. If you
exit the processing without saving the loan, however, the changes to the
business partner are lost.
If you change the data for the partner assigned to an object or collateral and
you copy this changed data to the respective object or collateral, then these
changes will be kept when you save the loan, even if you have cancelled the
processing of the object or collateral.
b.
Using the Insert Line function, you
can assign an existing partner to the loan /object/collateral or create a new
partner. On the Object Part screen, the system displays the roles
delivered by SAP (such as main loan partner or guarantor). You can select a
role from this screen. If you would like more roles to be offered for
selection here, you first need to define these in the application menu: SAP
Business Partner
® Application Development SAP BP
® BP Control
® BP Roles. You then have to assign
these roles in the Customizing activityAssign Additional Roles per
Assignment Category and Application Category (SAP Business Partner ->
Settings for Partner-Object Relationships).
After selecting the role, enter the relevant data in the Business Partner
Search screen. (Additional) Partners that you assign to the
loan/object/collateral in this way are also displayed in the Partner
List.
You can delete a partner-object relationship from the Partner List using the Delete Line function. You can only delete (and replace) a partner in the role of Main Loan Partner or Issuer from the Partner List if no postings have been made to the loan. You can then only save the loan if it has been assigned a main loan partner or an issuer. If a posting has already been made, you can replace the main loan partner or issuer using the Borrower Change or Capital Transfer functions. Partners in other roles supplied by SAP can be usually be deleted however. You can determine whether or not the additional roles that you have defined can be deleted.

In the IMG activity Assign Additional Roles per Assignment Category and Application Category, you determine whether or not the additional roles that you have defined can be deleted. If you want to prevent a partner in a certain role from being deleted, flag the role as a required entry field. This also means that you cannot save the loan if a partner has not been assigned to this role.
2. Attributes:
This section is only relevant for the "Loan" partner-object relationship.
In the Attributes section, the system displays data (such as the Customer Number,) for the business partner that you selected in the Partner List by means of the radio button. You cannot change the data in this section.
The role type and the bank details ID are also specified. If the role category, role types or the bank details ID have been assigned, you can use the F4 match code search to select these role types or bank details ID. If at least one role type has been assigned to a role category, the field Role Type is a required field. If a role category has been assigned just one role type, this is automatically copied to the Role Type field.

You can define a new bank details ID in the SAP Business Partner, on the Payment Transactions tab page. You can assign role types to the role category in the IMG activity Define Role Types.
You determine a payment method using the F4 match code search.
Using the Dunning Letter
field, you determine whether or not the business partner is to receive a
dunning letter (original or copy). You can also control whether the business
partner is to pay the dunning charges and interest payments. Select the field
Payer for Dunning Charges and Interest. This business partner then pays
the dunning charges and interest calculated by the dunning run. This means
that the bank details ID and the payment method that are specified for this
partner are used for the posting. If you want to select a partner as payer of
the dunning charges and interest but want to use a different bank details ID
and payment method, you must assign the partner to the contract in an
additional role and specify the required bank details ID and payment method
here.
Note that when the dunning section is active, it must be possible to send a
dunning letter to a partner for each loan. In other words, the field Payer
for Dunning Charges and Interest has to be selected and one partner must
be the recipient of the original dunning letter.

The dunning section is only active if you have set the Dunning Active switch in the Customizing step Company Code-Dependent Settings for Product Type.
In the field Percent, you can specify what percentage of the contract capital of the loan is held by the selected business partner. This is for information only.

To display the Percent field in the application, you need to assign a share type to the appropriate role in the IMG activity Assign Search ID and Share Type to Role Category. Define the share types in advance under Define Share Types. You can determine whether or not the field Percent is to be a required entry field in the relevant roles.
