Use

For each BSP application, the system creates an identically-named folder in the MIME Repository to store all application-specific MIME objects. You can import any number of MIME objects into this folder. The corresponding import function is available both in the MIME Repository Browser as well as in the object list of the BSP application concerned. You can use this to import one or several MIMEs in one step.

Caution

The maximum size of the MIMEs you want to import depends on the maximum roll area size of the SAP System. Contact your system administration team to have these values changed if required.

Caution

You can also execute a mass import of MIMEs using the WebDAV interface. For information on this procedure, refer to the section Mass Import of MIMEs Using WebDAV.

Caution

Note that the corresponding MIMEs are not copied to the target object when you copy BSP applications. For each new BSP application, the system creates an identically named directory in the MIME Repository, but it is empty.

Procedure

To import a number of MIME objects into the MIME Repository using the MIME Repository Browser:

  1. Start the browser of the MIME Repository.
  2. The browser is displayed. It overwrites the navigation area (left-hand side).

    Note

To alternatively access the import function in the Repository Browser, display the object list of the BSP application concerned.

  3. Right-click the application folder for your BSP application in the tree structure.
  4. Choose Import ® MIME-Objects from the context menu.
  5. Choose a MIME object from the file directory.
  6. Enter the MIME attributes and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Save.
  7. Since the object is imported into the SAP System, the dialog box Create Object Directory Entry is displayed.

  8. Assign a package to the MIME object and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Save.

Result

You have added one or several application-specific MIME objects to the SAP System storage, the MIME Repository. You can use Drag and Drop to insert the object URL in the pages of your BSP application.
