Use

The user must be assigned to a working area to use the migration report. The working areas MIG_ALL and MIG_BOM are defined for converting classical BOMs into iPPE objects and structures. They include the default settings for selecting the relevant data for migration.

Procedure

  1. Choose Logistics ® Production ® Master Data ® Engineering Workbench.

If you are working with the Engineering Workbench for the first time, the dialog box EWB: Select Working Area appears.

Select the MIG_BOM working area.

If you wish to define this working area as the default working area, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text..

If you have worked with the Engineering Workbench before, the screen EWB: Selection Criteria for BOM Headers appears.
    1. To select the working area, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

      2. The dialog box EWB: Select Working Area appears.

    2. Select the MIG_BOM working area.
    3. If you wish to define this working area as the default working area, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text..

Result

You are assigned to a working area and can start the migration process.
