Use

With this function, you can use a selection of criteria to analyze which variants have already reached or been set to a specific status, or for which objects the status is used.

Prerequisites

Features

There are several groups with selection criteria for status analysis. All entries in these fields are evaluated in combination with each other.

The analysis results are displayed on a separate screen. You have various options on this screen:

You can select one or more objects and release them directly.

You can select one or more objects and send them to person responsible using the workflow for them to be released or edited.

You can select an object and load it in the iPPE workbench for editing.

Actions

Starting general status analysis:

  1. In the iPPE workbench, choose Environment ® Status Cockpit.
  2. The Status Analysis screen appears.

  3. Enter the relevant data and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  4. The Status Analysis- Selection View screen appears. The system displays an overview of the analysis results.

Starting the status analysis using reports or the context menu:

  1. In the iPPE workbench navigation tree, choose the Reports tab page.
  2. Choose Product Structure or PLM Environment ® Status Cockpit.

or

  1. In the navigation tree, right-click the object whose status you wish to analyze.
  2. In the context menu, choose Reports ® Status Cockpit.

The Status Analysis screen appears. The system has copied the data for the selected object into the corresponding fields as proposals.

Examples

You can analyze whether all variants edited with a particular change number already have the status ‘released’.

You can query the status of all the variants of a node.

You can query which status is used for which objects.
