Object documentation Procedure (Infotype 1030) Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Definition

Infotype you can store for business event types to specify system reactions to booking and prebooking checks and to specify what actions are carried out during follow-up processing.

Use

The infotype lets you override the following Customizing settings for specific business event types:

·        Checks for bookings and prebooking attendance

You define the check procedure in Customizing for Training and Event Management under Day-to-Day Activities ® Booking ® Attendee Checks.

·        Actions to be performed during business event follow-up processing

You specify the procedure for business event follow-up processing in Customizing for Training and Event Management under Recurring Activities ® Follow-Up.

Structure

When you create the Procedure infotype for a business event type,  you can specify the following check procedures per attendee type:

·        Check for bookings for business events of the same type

·        Check for prebookings for the same business event type

·        Check for prerequisite business events (previously attended)

·        Check for qualifications and alternative qualifications that are required for attendance of a business event

In the Procedure infotype, you can specify the following actions to be performed per attendee type during follow-up processing:

·        Transfer the business event objectives to the attendee in the form of qualifications

·        Delete the booking relationship (025 is attended) between the business event and the attendee

·        Create a relationship (034 = was attended) between the attendee and the business event type

Note

SAP recommends that you only flag the first option as a rule (qualification transfer). This option is required to be able to check for prerequisite qualifications when an attendee is booked for an event. The system evaluates both relationships 025 and 034 when checking for prerequisite attendance at events. Therefore, it is not necessary to delete existing 025 relationships and instead create 034 relationships.  You should ensure that both relationships do not exist simultaneously. Consequently, you should either DESELECT both options (recommended) or select both.

You can find more information on the various options in the F1 Help documentation when you execute the activity or in the SAP note 538446.

Integration

You maintain this infotype in Customizing for Training and Event Management or in Current Settings under Create business event type.

Caution

If you create the Procedure infotype for a business event type, you override all of the procedure settings that generally apply for business event types. You make these settings in Customizing for Training and Event Management under Day-to-Day Activities ® Booking ® Attendee Checks and under Recurring Activities ® Follow-up.
