Distributing Specifications, Phrases, and Reports: Process
Purpose
This process describes how you distribute specifications, phrases, and reports between different systems. In most cases, both the source and target systems are SAP Systems. If they are not SAP Systems, they must behave in the same way as an SAP System.
Prerequisites
For more information, see:
Process Flow
Using sets of hits, you define the specifications that are to be distributed and specify filters for specifications or specification data as required.
You define which phrase library and which phrase groups are to be distributed.
You define which reports are to be distributed using the report tree.
The time of distribution can be set, for example, immediately after a change or periodically by scheduling a batch job.
For more information about activating serialization and delta distribution, see Customizing for Product Safety under Interfaces ® EH&S Application Link Enabling (ALE) ® ALE for Specification Management or ALE for Phrase Management or ALE for EH&S Reports ® Set Up Distribution of Specification Data or Set Distribution of Phrase Data or Set Up Distribution of EH&S Reports under General Procedure.
Result
Data Processing

If one or more phrases have changed, only these and not the whole phrase library are distributed.
Log
The SAP System writes a log for the data distribution that you can view in the target system as follows:
The Evaluate Application Log screen appears.
