Technical Information: Changing a Standard Feature 

If SAP makes any changes to a standard feature, the necessary information can be found in the release notes provided. If the changes are critical changes, SAP also creates a note.

As a rule, any changes made to a decision tree are not critical. However, we will inform you of these changes, so that you can make your own decision as to how you implement the new standard feature.

Any changes made to additionally selected fields in the feature structure are also not critical, but we will also inform you of the changes in the relevant release note.

However, any changes made to the feature structure, or to whether a field or table return is defined for a specific feature, are classed as extremely critical. In this case, we take particular care to ensure that you are informed of these changes. Please make sure to check our notes as well as our release notes.
