Bank Transaction Data for the SEM Components
Purpose
Bank transaction data
for single transactions and single positions consists of the data of the original bank transaction and the additional data needed to process the transaction in the SEM components.Features
The R/3 System divides a bank transaction into the following:
The single transaction or position, as known in the bank’s operational systems.
Additional data for handling the single transaction/position in the SEM components.
Until now, manual entry involved using separate transactions to enter the master data and the financial object data. As from Release 4.03, you can use the
Automatic Financial Object Integration function for some transactions and opt to enter the financial object data together with the master data of the transaction, or derive the financial object data.Note that bank transaction data is not usually maintained manually, but rather imported into the SAP R/3 System from the operational systems by means of external data transfer.

For further information on entering bank transaction master data, see the documentation for the components Corporate Finance Management and Loans Management.
