Customizing Tools (Techniques) (BC-CUS-TOL)

A view of fields in one or more tables with a common interface.

Views are created by business criteria, i.e. a view contains the table fields which are relevant for the setting of a business (sub)function. The data in a view is not physically saved (in the database), it is derived from one or more tables. Views are created in the Generate Table Maintenance Dialog (SE54) and are edited in the Extended Table Maintenance (SM30).
