Consolidation (EC-CS)

A characteristic that can further differentiate ("break down") the values of characteristic "financial statement item". SAP delivers the following predefined subassignments:

• Subitem category and subitem
• Partner unit
• Year of acquisition
• Period of acquisition
• Transaction currency
• Unit of measure

The value assignments to the characteristic "subitem" is free, which means that you can use the characteristic in any way you prefer - for example, for the assignment of transaction types or regions. The breakdown category of a financial statement item determines how the subitem is used.

In addition to the predefined subassignments, you can define custom subassignments that extend the consolidation database. Examples for this might be the fields "Country" and "Product Group."
