Internet Transaction Server / SAP@Web Studio (BC-FES-ITS)

Interface between the SAP system and the Internet.

The SAP Internet Transaction Server (ITS) enables users to communicate with the SAP system directly by running business transactions, function modules, and reports from a Web browser.

When a user calls an application, the request passes to the Web server with which the Web browser is connected. The Web server transmits the request to the ITS, which creates a connection to the SAP system. The ITS then controls the communications and data exchange between the SAP system and the Web server.

The ITS consists of two main components - the WGate (Web gateway) and the AGate (application gateway).
