SAP Business Workflow (BC-BMT-WFM)

A category of work item.

The work item type determines the internal processing . The type also determines which statuses and status transitions are allowed. Work items of certain types are displayed to users in their worklists. Work items of other types are only used and processed internally within the system.

The following work item types are displayed in the integrated inbox:

• Work item type W ("dialog work item")
• Work item type D ("missed deadline item")
• Work item type A ("work queue")

The following work item types can only be seen using the selection report for displaying work items:

• Work item type F ("workflow item")
• Work item type B ("background work item")
• Work item type E ("wait step" (event item))
• Work item type C ("container linkage")
