Use

The Support Package Manager checks in the TEST_IMPORT step whether the objects in the Support Package queue can be imported without any errors. Errors occur if objects are in tasks that have not been released yet. If transport objects do not fit into the system (due to incorrect include numbers for function modules or non-permitted tables contents, for example), the objects may have been overwritten. Errors may also occur if the transport control program tp does not run without errors.

Prerequisites

You are testing the import of the Support Package queue.

Procedure

  1. Analyze the cause of the error by using the information in the test import log. For more information, see SAP Note 42379.
  2. You have the following options:

Caution

You must be careful here. If you do ignore errors during the test run – regardless of what caused them – they may occur again when you import the objects in the IMPORT_PROPER step and cause serious problems. If, for example, there are open repair requests or if you are importing only one Support Package, do not ignore the test import errors. If you import multiple Support Packages in a queue, and suspect that the error messages arise due to this queue, check in SAP Note 447925 whether you can ignore the errors.
