Diagnostics logs contain information about the current performance of individual AGate instances.

You can view diagnostics information by requesting it directly in the URL with the command ~command=diagnostics .

Diagnostics logs are stored on your hard disk in files called diagnostics.log (or diagnostics_*.log in the case of archived versions) under:

C:\program files\sap\its\2.0\<ITS instance>\logs

Diagnostics logs do not follow any formal syntax, since they contain copies of the requested diagnostics information. Also, since the diagnostics information itself does not contain security-relevant information, the diagnostics log does not either.

To define the handling of diagnostics log files or change the location of the logs directory, see Setting Log File Parameters.

Note

To execute commands directly in the URL, you must first enable the ~command parameter. To do this, switch on debugging.

The information stored in diagnostics logs is now available directly through other ITS Administration functions, but the logs are retained for compatibility reasons.
