Use

You can assign a phrase status to each phrase item of a phrase. For each status you can define whether a phrase item with this status can be:

Integration

When importing and exporting phrases, you can set the Phr. itm status indicator in order to transfer the phrase status from the import file when importing and from the SAP System when exporting. You can set this indicator in the exchange profile thereby making it a default setting. You set up exchange profiles in Customizing for Product Safety in the IMG activity Specify Exchange Profiles.

If you have set the Phr. itm status indicator on the screen for phrase import or phrase export, you can additionally specify a status for each language using the language selection function. This has the following effects:

You must make sure that you only specify permitted statuses in language selection.

Editing Options

01 (In process)

You can edit the phrase item and set another status.

The contents of the phrase item is not expanded on reports.

02 (External processing)

The phrase item has been exported.

You cannot edit the phrase but you can set another status.

The contents of the phrase item is not expanded on reports.

03 (Released)

The phrase item is released.

You cannot edit the phrase but you can set another status.

The contents of the phrase item is output on reports.

04 (Historical)

The phrase item is historical.

You cannot edit the phrase item and you cannot set another status.

The contents of the phrase item is output on reports.

Note

You can check the standard setting for the phrase status in Customizing for Product Safety in the IMG activity Specify Phrase Status and edit it as required.
