You can run program RPSBENU2 whenever you need to file an ERISA 5500 for an employee benefit plan.

You must be using the Benefits Integration component to use this report. It requires benefit plan data and payroll results to be available in the system.

The ERISA 5500 form is used to determine whether employee benefit plans are operated according to governmental regulations. Program RPSBENU2 assists in the completion of the ERISA 5500 form by providing information needed for the following sections of the form:

• 7 - number of participants in the plan
• 21 - check if substantiation guidelines from Revenue Procedure 93-42 are being applied
• 32 - plan income, expenses, and changes in net assets for the plan year

This report features multiple selection screens:

• Population
• Plan info
• Items 7, 21

Use these selection screens to tell the program which plan to examine, for which employee population, and also which features to use to derive the info needed for items 7 and 21.
