Creating Limits on Deductions (Infotype 0165)

Prerequisites

If a limit on a deduction that is not the same as the standard limit that applies to a particular employee, you should create a Limits on Deductions (Infotype 0165) record for this employee. This will record override the standard limit set in the system.

Procedure

Choose Human resources ® Personnel management ® Administration ® HR master data ® Maintain.

Enter the employee’s personnel number.

Specify Limits on Deductions (Infotype 0165) in the Infotype field.

Select the Wage Type Classes to which the limit should apply.

Select the time frame to which the limit applies.

In the Interval field, enter the required time frame.

Enter a fixed amount or a select a Limiting Rule for the limit.

Save your entries.

Result

A non-standard limit is set for this employee on the relevant deductions.

Note

You may assign a number of different limits to one wage type class for an employee. This allows you to specify, for example, that no more than 6% or $200 may be deducted from the total gross amount a particular employee receives per month.
