Definition

In this infotype, you record the employee’s master data for the calculation of social insurance contributions. The data is processed during the payroll run and during the creation of evaluations.

Structure

The infotype is divided into the following group boxes:

In each group box, pushbuttons are located on the right side. You can use these to call up more information on the Structure link payroll units for social insurance.

The group boxes contain the following individual fields:

Group box AHV/UI

The AHV obligation controls the employee’s obligation for the Swiss social insurance dependent on his or her type of employment. The system supplies the default value 1 (normal liability). The contributions to be deducted are calculated according to the employee’s age.

If you have the employee’s AHV number, store it in the AHV-No. field. Dependent on the payroll unit AHV/ALV, you can control whether the first eight places of the AHV number serve as default values in accordance with the official table. Generally, the check is carried out according to the official regulations. You can switch off the check by entering 000 as the last three numbers.

The Percentage SI obligation and Unemployment insurance fund fields are hidden in the standard system.

When the Percentage SI-obligation field is activated in the system, entries are only made for those employees who are subject to the SI obligation. When the Unemployment insurance fund field is activated, you can enter the unemployment fund with which you settle. From now on, the payroll unit controls this entry. For reasons of downward compatibility, the field is still available, but is no longer used in the standard system.

Group box for accident insurance

In the Internal company area field, you enter the company area to which the employee is assigned. This company area serves as a reference for risk classes in the accident insurance.

In the UVG/SUVA liability field, you determine the employee’s obligation for industrial accident insurance. The system uses this entry to calculate the premiums for the obligatory accident insurance and for the division of the premiums between employee and employer.

The NIA supplemental insurance field is used to control the voluntary insurance under the SUVA maximum with which payments over 80% of the insured wage can be covered. The entry you make controls the premium calculation and the division of the amount into employer and employee shares.

Group box for family-related bonuses

You only make entries in the Cantonal family equalization fund and the Company rule fields if a special cantonal regulation or company rule differs from the specifications stored in the payroll unit. Use the pushbutton for the specification as to which rules are used for calculation of the family-related bonuses as regards the payroll units.

Group box for per diem sickness indemnity/voluntary insurance

Both group boxes are hidden in the standard system. If these group boxes are activated, you can specify a rule for calculating per diem sickness indemnity or contribution rates for the voluntary insurances different from the rule specified by the payroll unit. This is done for individual employees. To view the calculation rules used, press the information pressbutton for the appropriate insurance.

Caution If you want to change the employee data in Social Insurance CH infotype (0036), you can can only make the change valid as of the first of the following month. Changes can never take effect during the month.
