Support Package Manager: Checking Logs

Use

The function Log displays logs for Support Package Manager steps that the transport control program tp uses.

Check these logs after each successful queue import.

CREATE_VERS_BEFORE	Object version creation
DDIC_IMPORT	Dictionary import

INACTIVE_IMPORT	Inactive import of report source code and texts
IMPORT_PROPER	Import Transport steps that are independent of requests (Dictionary distribution, activation of inactive runtime objects, and so on)
XPRA_EXECUTION	XPRA/method execution
ABAP_GENERATION	Generate ABAP/screen

Procedure

To display the logs, choose Goto ® Log ® Queue on the initial screen of the Support Package Manager.

Return Codes:

Return Code	Meaning
0 or 4	System information and warnings Warnings are generally not critical for the system. Check them however, since sequence errors may occur in exceptional cases.
Greater than 4	Serious errors that must be corrected before you can successfully import the Support Package.
