Executing Formula Planning in Profit Center Accounting

Prerequisites

You have

created a template in the PCA environment (see: Templates for Profit Center Formula Planning)

assigned this template to at least one profit center (see: Assigning Templates for Profit Center Accounting).

Procedure

In the application menu for Profit Center Accounting, choose Planning ® Execute Formula Planning.

Enter the company code(s) and the profit center(s) or profit center group for which you want to calculate plan values according to the template in question.

Note

If you do not enter a company code, the system performs the calculation with all company codes assigned to the chosen profit center.

Enter a plan version, period and fiscal year.

Choose Test run if you do not want to post the results yet.

Choose Detail list to check the results of the evaluation.

Note

Where large amounts of data are involved, formula planning should always be executed in the background in order to avoid bottlenecks in the system.

Result

The system displays the calculated plan values in the detail list. Double-click on the processing category Number of Calculated Values. The system now displays cumulated values for the entire execution period:

For P&L accounts and statistical key figures of type agg. value, the corresponding period values are added.
For balance sheet accounts and statistical key figures of type fixed value, the average value is displayed.
