Incident/Accident Log Entry Type
Definition
This groups incident/accident log entries with common characteristics into entry types, for example, event involving several persons or event with no persons injured.
Use
When you create an entry in the incident/accident log, you must assign a type to it.
The incident/accident log entry type is subject to the authorization check for editing incident/accident log entries. This controls the incident/accident log entries that an employee can display or edit.
Integration
You can store a check function by means of a user exit for an incident/accident log entry type, which compares the number of
persons affected with the incident/accident log entry type and outputs a warning if it finds inconsistencies.You make the necessary settings in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety in the IMG activities Manage User Exits and Specify Incident/Accident Log Entry Types.
