Use

You register a logical system for a product if you want to always provide this system with new product versions.

Integration

The registration of logical systems is based on the recipient list for document distribution. However, you distribute product data instead of documents.

Activities

To register logical systems in the recipient list for a configuration folder:

  1. If you have already created a configuration definition or folder, on the initial screen of the replication workbench, choose the tab pages Portfolio and Configuration Definition or Folder.

    2. You can also select according to objects in folders, recipients, distributions already executed (replications) and baselines.

  2. Select your configuration folder by enter the name of the configuration folder in the Folder field.
  3. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  4. In the left-hand screen area, select the configuration folder (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text) by double-clicking on it.

The detail data of the configuration folder is displayed in the right-hand screen area.

  1. Choose the Recipient List tab page.
  2. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text to make a new entry.
  3. Enter a logical system.

The system sets ALE as the distribution type.
  1. Save.

Result

The logical system is registered for the product. When you create a distribution order for this product, the registered logical systems are automatically copied to the recipient list of the distribution order.
