Entering content frameProcedure documentation Maintaining Plug-Ins and Opening a Structure: BAPI

Prerequisites

You have created a form in Microsoft Visual Basic and have launched the Structure link SAPforms Designer as an add-in and are in the main screen. The form controls are shown in the table displayed in the bottom screen area.

Note

The procedure described below is the same if you are using the Structure link Submit Control or the stand-alone version of the SAPforms Designer.

Procedure

  1. Choose File ® Open SAP Structures ® Open BAPI Description.
  2. The SAPforms RFC Logon - System Selection dialog box is then displayed.

  3. Choose the SAP System you want to log on to from the System tab page.
  4. You can find out which SAP Systems you are already logged on to on the Recent tab page. You can also select an existing logon.

  5. Choose Next and log on.
  6. Enter the name of the BAPI you want to call.

The interface description of the BAPI is exported from the SAP System and displayed in the top area of the main SAPforms Designer.

Note

You do not need to maintain the plug-ins on a separate screen for this SAPform form application. You have already declared the Structure link Plug-In for the Function Module Interface with the Open command. A communication plug-in is not required.

The value in the SAPforms Plug-In box is set by default according to the development environment you are using. If you are using the stand-alone version of the SAPforms Designer, you must also maintain this plug-in.

Result

The SAPforms form is now prepared for the Definition of the Binding.
