Procedure

When you tab to a dropdown list, if the list is enabled, proceed as follows:

To open the list,

press Alt + Down Arrow.

To navigate between the items in the dropdown list,

use the Up and Down Arrow keys.

To select an item from the dropdown list,

navigate to that item, then close the list by pressing Alt + Up Arrow (the item that has the focus when you close the list is selected).

 

For JAWS users: JAWS announces the label of the dropdown list, how many items are in the list, which item in the list is currently selected, and whether the list is disabled (unavailable).
