Use

If you want to edit originals, for which the document info records have as yet only been checked out from the secure storage area for display (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text), then you can check out these originals for editing with this function.

Note

You can only carry out this function in the CAD view.

If you create a generic part with variants in the CAD system (see also: Working with Generic Parts and Variants), document info records are created for the generic part, and for each variant. A generic part and all of its variants are always changed together.

Prerequisites

The original has been loaded.

Procedure

Proceed as follows to check out a document info record with original:

  1. Select the desired document info record.
  2. Choose Originals ® Check Out.

Result

The lock is released after function Check Out has been carried out. The document gets a processing status for original, the current user is entered as the person responsible.
