
Checking the Status of the Oracle Database System
Use
You can use SAPDBA for Oracle to display the status of your database system when you do any of the following:

SAPDBA displays the status of your database system:
SAPDBA displays the following status information:

Meaning |
SELECTED INSTANCE |
Name of the instance (for example, C11) |
INSTANCE STATUS |
Status of the instance (for example, shutdown, mounted, opened) |
INSTANCE HOME |
Local home directory (for example, /oracle/C11) |
CONNECTED PROGRAMS |
Number of processes connected with the database (for example, 1) |
SAPR3 |
Logon status of user sapr3 ( connected, not connected) |
With this option, SAPDBA displays status information for the local instance, the parallel instances, the number of processes logged, and user sapr3 .
