Inserting new tables and structures

You cannot derive new tables or structure fields from existing (transient) attributes. If you wish to add corresponding fields to a reference table or structure, you can do this by switching directly from the Mapping Assistant to the table maintenance transaction.

Select the appropriate table (structure) from the Table and Field Display. Finally, select ABAP Dictionary from the context menu.

Assigning fields from multiple tables (structures)

It may be necessary to map fields from multiple tables (structures) to a class. For example, information on business objects in the BOR is distributed between multiple tables. In this case you take into account fields from multiple tables for the persistence representation of attributes of a class.

To include a further table (structure) for a persistence representation, select the Insert table/structure function from the context menu of the heading line in Table and Field Display. Enter the name of the new table (structure) and determine the Persistence Representation for it.

Note that you must carry out the persistence representation for GUIDs and key attributes for each table (structure) involved.
