
Creating a Subscription Right
Prerequisites
You must have already created the underlying (the new stock that can be acquired using the subscription) for the subscription right as a class.
Procedure
Basic data entries for a subscription right
Enter the class characteristics in the area headed Structure.
- Issuer
- Issue currency
In the area headed Subscription periods, enter the following data for each subscription period:
- ID number of the underlying:
- Subscription ratio
- This shows how many subscription rights you require in order to obtain one new stock.
Numerator / denominator = Number of subscription rights / number of new stocks
- Subscription price
- Subscription price currency
- Subscription period from and subscription period to (= the subscription period from is the date from which the subscription rights are effective, in other words, the day they are posted to the securities account and can be processed further).
- Name
: You can assign a name to the subscription period.

You can branch to the Issuer data for the relevant business partner. To do this, choose Environment ® Display issuer.
By choosing Environment ® Change documents, you can display the change documents for the class data.
By choosing Subscription rights ®
Change status, you can set the subscription right to Obsolete, Inactive or Active again. The status of a class is displayed at the top right hand side of the basic data screen. This is where the status is displayed.
Using the
References pushbutton, you can display the references between the security and other classes.
Save your entries before you leave the class data.
Result
You have created the subscription right as a class in the system. It also appears in the Exercise security right function in the rights category Subscription rights.
