Features

Advantages

       1.      Time and effort for setting up correspondence is minimal, since standard office applications are used.

       2.      You can use your existing sample letters directly as templates. You simply have to replace text segments with Mail Merge fields.

       3.      Once they are created, you can change documents using functions of the office application before they are printed or stored.

NoteThis is especially useful for individual contract forms that need to be changed considerably.

       4.      You can change stored documents at a later date and store the new version under a new number.

Technical Limitations

       1.      The amount of R/3 data that can be transferred to the office application is limited. It is only possible to transfer a flat structure of individual fields per document, so that tables with a flexible number of lines are not supported.

Example:

It is not possible to output invoice items or to show the service charge keys in the attachment for service charge settlement. The maximum number of fields that can be output is 1024.

       2.      Batch processing and automatic creation of multiple documents is not possible. Only single print is possible, and you have to execute it from the given object processing transaction.
