Working With Variation Ranges in Report Painter

The organizational structure of the enterprise BSG Inc. consists of an administration (ADMIN), sales and distribution (DIST) and a production department (PROD), each of which has two cost centers:

The database contains the following data for fiscal year 1992:

Without a variation a report with the cost center hierarchy in the general data selections, the two accounts as a row and the fiscal year 1992 as a column is output as follows:

To generate individual lists for each cost center and cost center group, select in the general data selection, This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

Variation the Explode indicator.

To generate individual lists just for cost centers, select in the general data selection, This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

Variation the Singval indicator (explode to single values).
