Features

Selection Criteria

The following selection criteria are available:

Execute Selection

To trigger the selection, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Selection.

Show Selection

After you have selected a Detail Function , the system hides the selection area and instead displays the detail area. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text to show the selection area again.

Copy Results to Worklist Folder

Using the drop-down menu for the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Result in Folder pushbutton, you can determine whether the selected batches are copied directly to the specified worklist folders after the selection is performed. If you have selected a worklist folder, the name of the folder appears beside the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (for example, This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Standard folder).

Switch User Group

Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Restart to switch the user group-specific selection settings.

If you have maintained selection variants (see below), the system offers these for selection for the relevant user group.

You can use the authorization object M_MATE_BIC to specify which user can use which user groups.

Define Selection Variants

You can use selection variants to save selection criteria for a specific user group. This means that the user is no longer required to enter the selection criteria manually for each selection. Selection variants are particularly useful for users who regularly perform selections according to the same criteria.

The system differentiates between private and public selection variants. A private selection variant can only be accessed by the corresponding user, a public variant can be used by all users that are assigned to the user group.

After you enter selection criteria and have confirmed them with Enter, you can choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Selection Variant to save the selection criteria in a selection variant. You can use the dropdown menu under This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Restart to view the selection variants that you have created for the user group.

Delete Selection Criteria

You have the following options for deleting the entries in the selection tab pages:

Selection with Plant Reference

If you have set the batch level as material or client level in your system, you can additionally restrict the batches to select.

You define the plant-specific selection for each user group in Customizing for Batch Management under Batch Information Cockpit ® Define User Group-Specific Selection.

To restrict the selection to batches that exist in a specific plant, you must enter a selection criteria with plant reference in the Batch Information Cockpit (for example, plant, valuation type, MRP planner).

The display in the Selection Result: Batches does not change. In other words, the entries are listed, sorted according to material and batch.

The system does not display batches that do not exist in any plant, and batches that exist in non-relevant plants.
