eCATT Tutorial

Introduction

This tutorial assumes no prior knowledge of eCATT or CATT. You work through an series of exercises that build on the knowledge developed in the preceding ones.

Caution

Test scripts usually make R/3 System database changes; do this tutorial in a training system.

You learn to:

Start eCATT and record transactions
Execute test scripts
Parameterize and reference test scripts
Use inline ABAP, loops, and conditional processing
Execute test scripts in remote systems
Create test data containers and variants
Use test configurations
Use versioning

Prerequisites

You have the appropriate authorizations to use eCATT, and for the transactions FK01 and FK02.

The system contains the transactions FK01 and FK02, and table LFA1.
