Use

The Layout Workbench is the main entry point for all functionalities relating to space management and layout.

For stores, the layout is displayed hierarchically along with the assigned layout modules and their versions. The articles assigned to layout module versions and to variants can also be displayed.

If planogram data from a space management program has been assigned to the layout module version, this is also displayed in the overview. You can call such planogram data from the display for current changes to your planogram, or for changes that will only apply to it at a future date.

From the Layout Workbench you can also branch to all functions that are essential for space management. Using the layout module version you can map local variances in the corresponding store by assigning a layout module variant. The status of layout module version can be changed.

So that you do not need to call the interface every time, when the articles in a layout module version are to be listed, Listing can also be started in the Layout Workbench. You can then choose to create listing conditions for all layout module versions that currently apply or will apply at a later date. Alternatively, you can select individual layout module versions for which you want to start listing. Listing conditions are only created for the appropriate store.

Features

The Layout Workbench enables you to create and maintain layout modules for assortments.

Using the Layout Workbench you can create listing conditions for all articles that are assigned to the individual layout modules.

This makes it possible to control listing of articles that have been imported or exported using the space management interface.

It also provides you with a quick, hierarchical overview of the layout structure of one or more stores; all articles in a module are immediately displayed when you choose the relevant module.

From SAP R/3 you can move directly to an external space management program. For planning purposes, you can use the Layout Workbench without using the space management interface.

You have the option to carry out mass maintenance, whereby a large number of articles are assigned to a layout module at the same time (for example, all articles in a merchandise category, articles that correspond to the selection criteria you have entered, or all articles with a specific matchcode).
