Use

From Release 4.6C you can import menu structures from other menus into an area menu. You can import the following menu types:

you can import CUA menus from Releases before 4.6A.

You can enter the structure of the action menu of a transaction.

Note

For technical reasons function codes are entered as transaction codes. In many cases menus imported in this way will not work completely. You must postprocess them manually.

You can import other area menus.

Note

You can import area menus by RFC from another system. Specify a valid RFC connection.

You can import the menu structure of a role defined in the system.

Prerequisites

You are in Area Menu maintenance editing mode.

Procedure

To import another area menu into your current area menu for example:

  1. Mark a node in your area menu. The imported menu is appended to this node as a submenu.
  2. Choose Edit ® Import ® Other menu.
  3. Enter the area menu to be imported in the following dialog box.
  4. If you want to import the area menu from another system, mark the checkbox Via RFC and enter a valid RFC connection.
  5. Choose Continue.

Result

The complete selected menu is inserted at the current cursor position in your current area menu as a submenu.
