If all the cost centers processed belong to the cost center category defined in the dependency, the accrual for the special bonus uses the overhead rate specified explicitly for that category. Because you did not set the indicator for exclusive access, another processing step follows: Accrual calculations for the annual bonus are based on the overhead rate for the entire controlling area. This amount applies to all cost centers.

You want to calculate the accrual for workers’ compensation for the production cost centers of areas A and B only. You enter the cost centers for area A directly. The cost centers for area B are calculated indirectly via the cost center category.

If the R/3 System cannot find an explicit entry for a particular cost center, it searches for an entry for the cost center category. If it finds no entry here, it calculates the accruals using the overhead rate defined for the entire controlling area.

Afterwards, you want the system to end processing. This means you must set the Exclusive access indicator for the second access to prevent the third access (at controlling area level).
