Activate view cluster (SAP Library - BC - Generate Table Maintenance Dialog)

Activate view cluster

After maintaining the header entry, the object structure, and the field dependencies, you can activate the view cluster.

Go to the view cluster header entry maintenance screen.
Choose Activate.

The Modify screens dialog box appears.

Confirm.

The system:

saves the view cluster definition

checks the view cluster definition consistency. If errors occur, they are logged and the view cluster is not activated.

generates the maintenance object description.

You can automatically adjust the single dialog maintenance screens. In this case, the system deactivates the foreign key checks because the entries must be checked against the internal tables, not against the database tables.

Caution

Do not use the maintenance dialogs which have been modified for the view cluster maintenance to maintain individual tables/views. This can cause database table inconsistencies because the foreign key check is deactivated when the screens are modified.
