The object structure determines the relationships of the view cluster objects on the table/view level. You also define the navigation subscreen structure and the initial view cluster maintenance object.

The maintenance screen contains the Navigation and View cluster description maintenance (structure table) groups and the Activate field dependence pushbutton:

View/Table

Name of the current object. The green arrow next to the object allows direct navigation to the ABAP/4 Dictionary.

Short text

Context-related text for the current object. The text appears when maintaining the newly created view cluster as navigation text in the navigation subscreen.

Predecess.

Name of the directly superior object in the object hierarchy.

If the current object is on the highest hierarchy level (header entry) and thus has no superior object, enter the same name here as in the View/Table field.

Dep

This field influences the selection of dependent entries in navigation:

R: the object is a header entry and has no superior object (see Predecessor)

S: when navigating to the object specified in View/Table, you may mark only one entry in the superior object (predecessor). The system then displays only the entries depending on a superior object.

M: when navigating to the object specified in View/Table, you can mark any number of entries in the superior object (predecessor).

Pos

Enter a value between 1 and 15 for the postion of the object on the navigation subscreen. You must assign these values consecutively starting from 1.

Level

This value between 1 and 15 indicates the level on which the object occurs in the view cluster and thus determines the object description indentation on the navigation subscreen. A header entry has level 1, a directly dependent object level 2.

Initial

Mark the checkbox for the initial view cluster object.

Backgr

Mark the checkboxes for those objects that you want to suppress from the view cluster maintenance. The object is not displayed in the navigation subscreen. You cannot navigate to these objects.

N:M

Mark this field if the object and its predecessor have an N:M relationship. The system then takes this relationship into account for hierarchical operations (copy, delete, retrieve, transport).

Mark the objects for which the field dependencies are to be generated and press the pushbutton. A dialog box confirms generation.
