Rough Workload Estimate: Overview
Definition
Standard analysis for determining the workload for all the processes in a distribution center or warehouse.
Use
This standard analysis enables staff in charge of a distribution center or warehouse to estimate the workload expected for the coming days. It includes analyses (which also can be run individually) for estimating the workload for the following processes in the warehouse or distribution center:
You use this analysis to display the load to be worked at day and warehouse level. The workload is updated on the basis of SAP system documents (purchase orders, sales orders, stock transfer orders, deliveries and the associated returns). Information on quantity, weight, volume and the number of document items or schedule lines is updated from these documents. You can also have the system determine the processing time required on the basis of Customizing tables (optional).
These analyses can be used, for example, as a basis for shift planning or for creating deliveries.
Structure
The standard analyses for Rough Workload Estimate are based on data updated to information structures S150, S152 and S159 for the Warehouse Management component. These are not typical retail information structures.
Integration
This function requires the SAP component Warehouse Management and can be used for both wholesale and retail processes.
