Market-Basket Analysis - Companion Sales
Definition
Companion sales analysis
Use
A special report was created to analyze the companion sales in market-baskets (receipts). The report determines the combinations of objects (articles and merchandise categories), that occur most often (tops) in the receipts. Beer and potato chips could, for example, occur in 12.32% of all receipts.
You need to create a variant for your requirements before you plan the job for this report. This report should be performed in the background, as the algorithm on which it is based has a very long runtime.
The results of the report are not displayed on the screen, but are saved in a buffer. To display the results, choose Results. You can branch from the results of the individual companion sales to the standard analysis of the relevant info structure, in which only those documents (receipts, for example) that contain the objects are selected.
