Use

Data for completed processes, which is no longer required for further analyses can be deleted from the system without being archived. The following are some areas in which data does not need to be archived.

The volume of data in individual areas indicates the regularity by which you delete data. Allocation, merchandise distribution, POS interface and replenishment are all areas in which a large volume of data is generated, due to the fact that a high number of articles and stores are used.

Deleting Administration Data

The following data should be scheduled for deletion at regular intervals (for more information, see SAP Note 16083). Where possible, use the recommended job names listed in the naming convention. This is particularly useful when checks are run to ascertain whether jobs have already been activated in your system, as it is easier to locate data that has been named correctly.
