Use

You can create various language versions of an Area Menu simply in Area Menu maintenance.

Prerequisites

The Area Menu to be translated is in the current system.

Procedure

  1. Enter the name of the Area Menu to be translated in the Area Menu maintenance initial screen.
  2. Choose Utilities ® Translation.
  3. Choose the source and target language in the following dialog box.

  1. Choose Continue.

A list of all explanatory texts of activities in the Area Menu is displayed. The translation transaction functionality is the same as transaction SE63 .

  1. Enter the menu entry translations in the target language.
  2. Save your entries.

Result

A new Area Menu language table is created. If you logon to the SAP System in the target language, this language version of the menu is displayed.
