Use

This function is used to replace a characteristic value already contained in planning with a number of other values.

Procedure

To replace a characteristic value in planning with a number of other values, proceed as follows:

  1. On the overview screen of manual planning, select the characteristic value that you want to replace and which is also to serve as a template for the characteristic values that are going to replace it.
  2. This template is, for example, used to determine the hierarchy parameters (relative proportional factors, allocation keys) and items, which the characteristics to be inserted are to take into the planning hierarchy.

  3. Choose Extras ® Characteristic Planning ® Replace Characteristic Value. A dialog box appears. Enter the characteristic values you want to insert.
  4. As far as possible, the characteristic values to be inserted are checked to make sure they are allowed in accordance with the classification of the article.

  5. Confirm your entries. The old characteristic values are replaced by the new characteristic values in the planning screen.

Result

The characteristic values are replaced in the planning hierarchy in the background, however, they are not posted to manual planning until you save.

As regards selecting the planning layout, the subtree of the new characteristic values in the planning hierarchy corresponds to that of the characteristic values to be replaced.

The characteristic values can be planned as soon as they have been inserted.

As default, the new characteristic values are preallocated with plan data as follows:

The attributes are redetermined for the new characteristic values. Additional key figures are not redetermined explicitly for the new characteristic values.
