Create Extract

Use

There are two different ways of creating an extract:

You can create extracts on the selection by choosing Extract Parameters and then choosing Create Extract in the dialog box.
You can generate an extract when executing a report. To do this, follow the steps under Procedure.

Note

You can only create extracts in expert mode. Make sure that expert mode has been activated. You can make these settings from the selection screen by choosing Environment ® Options.

Procedure

Choose Report Writer ® Report group ® Execute. The Execute Report Group: Initial Screen appears.

Enter the required report group and choose

Enter the required selection parameters and choose

If extracts already exist for the selection criteria you have specified, the system will display a list of extracts that you can choose.

The report is now displayed. Choose Report ® Save Extract. In the Enter: Extract Parameters dialog box, you can define the parameters for your extract. For further information about extract parameters, see Expert Mode. To complete your entries, choose .
