Authorization Objects for Planning

Use

So that planning data can only be displayed and entered by particular employees, the SAP system offers the following authorization objects for planning scenarios and planning step levels in SAP Authorization Concepts.

Authorization object W_WXP_DESI (design)

Fields: Activity, Scenario

Authorization object W_WXP_PLAN (Planning)

Fields: Activity, Scenario, Step

Authorization object W_WXP_INT (Planning interfaces)

Fields: Activity, Scenario, Step, Interface

Link authorization exists if there is authorization for both the relevant planning steps.

Authorization objects W_WXP_HIER and W_WXP_LAY can be used to assign authorizations at a more detailed level than the planning step level:

Authorization object W_WXP_HIER: Authorization at the level of planning scenarios and planning hierarchy versions (but not at the level of the planning characteristics)

Authorization object W_WXP_LAY: Authorization at the level of the planning layout and manual planning variants, if necessary

Authorization objects W_WXP_HIER and W_WXP_LAY can be used to avoid unauthorized users changing planning layouts or changing characteristic combinations for planning purposes.

You can create your own authorization objects using SAP Authorization Concepts (for more information, see BC – Users and Roles). Checks for this are executed in customer exit (SAP enhancement) WISPL001 which was created specifically for this purpose. The SAP enhancement has been configured so that you can manage authorizations at your chosen characteristic level (for example, purchasing organizations, merchandise categories).
