Interfaces for SAP Applications Outside of Planning
Use
For many retail companies, planning is the starting point for every business process. To implement planning activated in Merchandise and Assortment Planning in the business process, interfaces are currently available for the following operative processes:
These applications can also be carried out in systems other than planning.
Prerequisites
You need to make several Customizing settings to be able to use planning interfaces.
For further information, see
Allocation.
For further information, see
Promotion.
For further information, see
Assortments.
In case the SAP application that provides data for planning is being carried out in a system other than planning, a definition of an RFC destination is needed. For maintenance you use transaction SM59.
In cross-scenario Customizing for Merchandise and Assortment Planning, the following interfaces must be active:
After defining the interface for a planning step, assign one or more planning layouts to the step. In the network graphic for planning, a vertical line for a planning step indicates that an interface has been assigned to the planning step.
Assigning an interface to a layout is done using the network (transaction WXPN1 or WXPN2 "Manual planning, Detailed view for the planning layout").
For further information see Assigning Interfaces to Layouts.
You can only access interfaces if the planning scenario in question has the status active/saved.
