Procedure

  1. On the Extended Computer Aided Test Tool: Initial Screen, select Test Script.
  2. In the Test script field, enter a name for the script. It must be an alphanumeric string of up to 30 characters (underscores are permitted). It is not case-sensitive.
  3. In the Version field of the script, enter an integer of up to 8 figures. If the script does not already exist and you leave this field empty, the version will automatically be set to 1.
  4. In the External Tool field, select the external tool.
  5. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  6. The script editor appears.

  7. Choose the Attribute tab and maintain the attributes.
  8. In the application toolbar, choose Script.
  9. The User Entries for External Tool dialog box appears.

  10. Enter the user name and password for the external tool.
  11. Enter the name of the external-tool project in which the test script will be created.
  12. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  13. The external tool starts.

  14. Use the external tool to record the test.
  15. After you have finished recording, choose Tools ® SAP eCATT ® Save BLOB ® Save and Goto eCATT.
  16. Select the project that you want to save.
  17. Choose Save.

The script is uploaded to eCATT. When the upload is finished, eCATT closes the external tool.
